Nearly 1,500 Myanmar nationals repatriated from Malaysia as UN warns of risks
Nearly 1,500 Myanmar nationals arrived in Yangon on Sunday after Malaysia sent them back by ship. The United Nations warned that conditions in Myanmar remain unsafe for these returnees. Kelley E. Currie said, "In my assessment, the risk of refoulement in the present circumstances is substantial." Many now fear for safety.
