Huawei has launched the new Huawei D3 smartwatch, a health-focused wearable featuring an inflatable blood pressure cuff built directly into the watch.

The company says the D3 supports ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and tracks a wide range of health indicators.

The Huawei D3 features a slimmer 11.3mm body and a strap that is 7.5g lighter, resulting in a 9% reduction in overall weight and a 15% reduction in thickness compared with its predecessor. Its narrower inflatable airbag is designed to provide greater comfort during blood pressure measurements.

The Watch D3 measures blood pressure using a small inflatable airbag built into the watch. It supports 24-hour blood pressure monitoring and can also take readings before and after exercise.

Unlike most smartwatches that only track blood pressure trends, the Watch D3 uses an inflatable cuff that presses against the wrist, similar to a traditional blood pressure monitor, to provide more direct measurements throughout the day.
