Lead above safe limit in vegetables grown on Delhi floodplains: Study

A study published in July by CSIR and NEERI found lead levels in seven vegetables grown on Delhi’s Yamuna floodplains exceeded safe limits. Researchers said, “spinach and brinjal, which is a matter of concern and requires regular monitoring.” While other metals stayed within limits, these two vegetables pose health risks.
