Udhayanidhi Stalin arrested in connection with complaint of making misogynist remarks

Tamil Nadu leader Udhayanidhi Stalin was arrested on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, following a complaint about his misogynist remarks at a public meeting in Thanjavur. Police filed a case under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. DMK cadres gathered at his house to protest, but police took him away.
