Loopholes in temple donation collection reason for ₹18 crore gap: Siddhivinayak Temple Trust Board

The Siddhivinayak Temple Trust Board admitted on Monday, August 3, 2026, that loopholes caused a ₹18 crore donation gap. Chairperson Sadanand Shankar Sarvankar said, "Some loopholes were being used, which we have stopped." The board suspended 46 employees and arrested nine workers after noticing a major rise in weekly collection amounts.
