In Bankipur, Prashant Kishor scores 'hat-trick', defeats BJP, Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar

Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishor defeated BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar by 19,324 votes in the Bankipur bypoll. Kishor also beat independent candidates named Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar. Kishor said the result is "a wake-up call" for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP said it would start a thorough introspection.
