DY Patil, former Bengal governor, dies at 92

Former West Bengal governor DY Patil died at 92 on Tuesday in Kolhapur. A veteran Congress leader and educationist, he founded many institutions and served as governor of Tripura and Bihar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Shri DY Patil Ji was at the forefront of serving society through philanthropy.”
