JD-(U) MLA Shyam Rajak said the Bankipur byelection defeat is a warning bell for the NDA in Bihar. Prashant Kishor defeated BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha by 19,324 votes. Rajak noted, "We need to find out what went wrong," blaming poor management and a lack of coordination with local voters.
