Global Market: China, Hong Kong stocks fall as investors temper Trump-Xi meeting hopes; property shares gain
China and Hong Kong stocks fell on Wednesday as investors got worried about the upcoming Trump-Xi meeting. Trade tensions with Europe also hurt sentiment. Many property shares gained after the government showed support for China Vanke. The CSI300 index fell 0.5% while the Hang Seng Index fell 0.8% by lunch.
