India to become a $5.1-trillion economy by FY29, says Nirmala Sitharaman

India will become a $5.1-trillion economy by FY29, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. The government adopted a broad-based growth strategy to reach this milestone. Officials said, "The government has adopted a broad-based growth strategy focusing on enhancing agricultural productivity, promoting manufacturing, and supporting MSMEs."
