Gold and silver prices went up on Monday, with gold futures for June 5 delivery rising 0.36 per cent. Silver prices did even better, surging nearly 2 per cent. Experts said "safe-haven demand and geopolitical developments" are affecting precious metals. Crude oil prices, however, saw a big drop.
