The Nifty 50 jumped nearly 200 points on Monday after the new Closing Auction Session started. This shift replaced the old volume-weighted average price method. Hitesh Tailor said, “This forced short sellers to cover positions before continuous order matching stopped, adding strong underlying upward pressure near the session close.”
