Monsoon advances even as El Niño signals strengthen

Monsoon advanced across India on Saturday, covering Goa and parts of several states. The IMD said its northern limit passed through Devgad, Koppal, Anantapuramu, Chennai, and Aizawl. Conditions favour further progress. Meanwhile, El Niño signals are strengthening, with an 80-90% chance of its development.
