WhatsApp outage hits users worldwide, media sharing and Status updates affected

Thousands of WhatsApp users faced disruptions on Monday, with many unable to send photos, videos or post a Status update. Downdetector recorded a spike in complaints across several countries. A WhatsApp spokesperson said, "The company tries to correct them quickly so people can resume chatting" after some accounts got restricted.
