India proposes extending tax breaks for contract manufacturing in a boost for Apple

India proposed extending tax exemptions until March 31, 2041, for foreign companies providing machinery to contract manufacturers. This move helps Apple as it expands production in the country. Riaz Thingna said, “The proposed tax changes will enable foreign companies to store and transfer critical equipment and components in India.”
