Massachusetts declares August 15 as 'India Day'

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey declared August 15 as India Day to honour the Indian diaspora’s contributions. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu also issued a similar proclamation. The state recognised how Indian-Americans help the community through medicine, science, and business. These celebrations highlight India’s rich culture and its role as a democracy.
