RBI targeting polymer currency notes launch in early FY28: Guv Malhotra

RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra said on Wednesday, August 5, that the bank is targeting to launch polymer currency notes by the beginning of the next financial year. He said these notes have lasted for over 30 years in some jurisdictions and will come in handy for lower denomination notes.
